Danish building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) specialist Solartag has launched a new solar tile for pitched roofs. The tile has an output of 71 W, weighs 14.2 kg/m² and has an energy conversion efficiency of 16%. The new product uses black PERC cells and, according to the manufacturer, is standardised for series production.
Solartag's T-Roof panel is a fully integrated BIPV solution designed to completely replace traditional roofing materials, combining functionality, aesthetics and durability. Solartag's design is standardised for series production and is manufactured in Lithuania. The main colour is black, but we can also implement customised projects.
The main key components come from European partners to minimise emissions in the supply chain and ensure fast delivery times.
The solar tile has a surface area of 43.5 cm x 116 cm and weighs 14.2 kg/m². Its energy conversion efficiency is 16% and its power output reaches 71 W. It also has an open-circuit voltage of 9.62 V and a short-circuit current of 9.06 A.
The IP67-rated product uses black PERC solar cells and 4 mm low-reflection tempered glass. It can operate with a system voltage of 1,000 V and at temperatures ranging from -40 °C to 50 °C. The temperature coefficient is 0.33 %/C.
The photovoltaic technology is covered by a 25-year warranty and the glass panel by a 40-year warranty.
The T-Roof panel from Solartag is currently used by private homeowners, architects and developers throughout Northern Europe who appreciate sustainable energy without compromising on design.
